If this is your first newborn photoshoot, a little idea of how the session flows makes the whole experience calmer - for you and your baby. Here is what a typical session at our Pune studio looks like.
How long it takes
Newborn sessions are unhurried by design. Depending on your package a sitting can run from thirty minutes to two hours, and the longer sessions build in plenty of time for feeding and soothing. The baby always sets the pace, never the clock.
The warm, calm setup
The studio is kept warm throughout, because newborns settle and sleep best in a warm room. Lighting is soft and the atmosphere quiet. This is deliberate - a relaxed baby gives you the sleepy, curled frames that make newborn photography so special.
Feeding and soothing breaks
Babies feed, fuss and need settling, and that is completely normal. These breaks are part of the session, not an interruption to it. Feeding your baby just before you arrive helps them sleep deeply for the posed shots.
What to bring
A spare set of clothes for the baby, and for you.
Any comfort item or favourite wrap you would like included.
A feed ready, or the means to feed during the session.
Patience - the calmest sessions produce the best photos.
Poses and props
We provide wraps, props and themes, and guide every pose gently with safety first. If there is a particular look you love, share it beforehand and we will plan for it. If your baby prefers to stay awake, that is fine too - awake newborn photos are beautiful in their own right.
After the session
Once you have chosen your favourites, your edited images are delivered within five to seven working days. Editing includes colour correction, gentle retouching and final enhancement.
